Danfoss / Eaton-3.00 CID(49CC)420 Code B

Description & Features

Designed for demanding mobile equipment applications, the Danfoss / Eaton-3.00 CID(49CC)420 Code B is an open circuit piston pump in the 420 Series, with a displacement of 3.00 CID (49 cc). Built to deliver high pressure and flow capacity, it supports a broad range of mobile hydraulic equipment including loader backhoes, agriculture tractors, crawler dozers, mini excavators, container handling cranes, and concrete and asphalt pavers.

The 420 Series platform is also well-suited for specialty equipment such as vibratory cable plows, tunnel boring machinery, utility boom trucks, rough terrain forklifts, and feller/bunchers. Advanced control options contribute to efficient system performance, while fast response and recovery characteristics make this pump a practical choice for applications where cycle times and load handling are critical. At 5.75 inches wide, the unit fits within the compact packaging constraints common to mobile machine integration.

Question by: Hank R on Aug 12, 2025, 8:50 PM
Got a loader backhoe that needs a new pump and I keep seeing this 420 Series come up. Is the 3.00 CID displacement gonna be enough for that kind of machine?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 14, 2025, 6:54 AM
Loader backhoes are actually one of the applications this pump was built around, so you're in the right ballpark. The 3.00 CID (49 cc) displacement puts it in solid territory for that class of machine, and the 420 Series is rated for high pressure and flow capacity, which matters when you're running loader and backhoe functions at the same time. The open circuit design fits how most of those machines are set up. If your existing pump matches that displacement and the Code B configuration, it should drop into the same role without issue.
