Danfoss / Eaton-3.00 CID(49CC)420 Code B

Description & Features

Designed for demanding mobile hydraulic applications, the Danfoss / Eaton-3.00 CID (49CC) 420 Code B is an open circuit axial piston pump from the 420 Series, displacing 3.00 cubic inches (49cc) per revolution. With a 5.75-inch width profile, it is well suited for integration into compact and mid-size mobile equipment where space and weight are considerations.

This pump supports a broad range of mobile equipment, including loader backhoes, agriculture tractors, crawler dozers, mini excavators, articulated haulers, concrete and asphalt pavers, container handling equipment, and railroad machinery, among others. Advanced control options allow for greater system efficiency, while the pump's high pressure and flow capacity make it capable of handling the variable demands typical of these applications. Response and recovery performance supports equipment that requires consistent hydraulic output under fluctuating load conditions.

Question by: Neil D on Jan 6, 2026, 8:38 AM
Got a mini excavator that's been burning through pumps and I'm trying to figure out if this 3.00 CID 420 series unit is actually built for that kind of work or if it's more of a light-duty thing.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 7, 2026, 3:20 PM
Mini excavators are actually one of the listed applications for this pump, so you're in the right place. The 420 series is an open circuit axial piston design rated for demanding mobile hydraulic work, and it's built to handle the variable load conditions that come with excavator operation. The high pressure and flow capacity means it won't get pushed around by the kind of fluctuating demands those machines put out. If your current pumps have been failing under heavy use, the response and recovery performance on this unit is worth noting as well since it's positioned as one of the faster-responding options in its class.

How wide is this hydraulic pump? Need to make sure it'll fit in my backhoe without too much fuss.
Answer by: Customer Support on May 5, 2025, 7:46 AM
It's got a width of 5.75 inches, so you can check if that'll work for your space.
