What’s the story on how wide this unit is? Gotta make sure it’ll fit in the space I got.
Answer by: Customer Support on May 7, 2025, 5:13 PM
At 6.88 inches wide, this Vickers vane pump should integrate pretty easily into different hydraulic setups.
Question by: Howard P on Jul 22, 2025, 4:02 PM
cast iron build on this one -- does that hold up decent in higher-pressure setups or is it more of a light-duty pump?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 24, 2025, 9:16 AM
Cast iron is actually a solid choice for demanding conditions, and that's exactly what this pump is built around. High-pressure and high-speed use is right in its wheelhouse, so it's not a light-duty piece of equipment. The construction is meant to handle the kind of continuous stress that would wear out lesser materials over time, which is a big part of why the operating life on these VQ series pumps tends to be longer than average.
