got a press machine running pretty hot and heavy most of the day, would this pump hold up to that kind of duty, or is it more of a light-use unit?

The VQ series was built around high-pressure, high-speed operation, so sustained heavy-duty cycles on press machinery fall right in its wheelhouse.
