Question by: Frank C on Feb 27, 2026, 2:31 PM
cast iron build on this one, does that hold up alright running it in a small press setup day in and day out?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 1, 2026, 6:35 AM
Cast iron is a solid choice for press applications. It handles the kind of stress and vibration that comes with repetitive cycle work better than lighter housings, and the 2520VQ series was built with exactly those small press and industrial unit environments in mind. The Buna-N seals also contribute to long-term durability, holding up well under the pressure and fluid conditions typical in that kind of setup. Longer operating life is one of the stated strengths of this series, so it's well suited for regular production use.
