Will this fitting work with any kind of hydraulic hose or does it need to be one of them fancy "socketless" kinds?

This fitting is specifically designed for use with Aeroquip's SocketLESS hose system, part of their 4738 Series. It won't work properly with standard hydraulic hose that requires a socket.
