Got a port on a hydraulic manifold that ain't being used right now. This 3/4 BSPP plug gonna seal it off proper?

For capping an unused BSPP port, that's exactly what this plug is for. It's a 3/4-14 male BSPP thread, so it'll thread directly into a female BSPP port of the same size and close it off. The zinc plated steel construction holds up well in typical hydraulic environments. Just make sure your open port is female BSPP and not NPT or SAE, since those thread forms aren't interchangeable.

Is this plug steel all the way through, or just plated?

This adapter is made from zinc-plated steel.

trying to cap off a 3/4 BSPP port, is this the right plug or am I mixing up thread types
Answer by: Customer Support on May 1, 2025, 2:13 PM
For a 3/4-14 male BSPP thread, this is a steel blanking and closure plug meant to seal off that BSPP port. The key match point is BSPP (British Parallel) and the 3/4-14 thread size.
