Product Questions & Answers (2)
Question by: Daryl M on Apr 17, 2025, 3:35 PM
Will this Eaton Aeroquip fitting hold up to some serious vibration on a piece of heavy equipment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 18, 2025, 9:41 PM
Dura-Kote plating gives this fitting superior corrosion resistance, which should extend its life even when subjected to vibration.
Question by: Ross S on Oct 6, 2025, 3:53 PM
Does the Dura-Kote plating on this fitting actually hold up in environments where rust is a real concern, or is it more of a light-duty coating?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 8, 2025, 9:20 AM
Dura-Kote plating is specifically engineered for superior corrosion resistance, so it goes well beyond a basic protective layer. Carbon steel on its own is prone to rust in wet or chemically exposed environments, but the plating addresses that directly. For industrial hydraulic work where moisture and grime are a given, that coating is doing meaningful work to extend the service life of the whole hose assembly.
