Product Questions & Answers (1)

Question by: Freddie S on Mar 14, 2026, 7:14 AM
fitting says BSPP on one end, does that mean it won't work with NPT ports, or is there some wiggle room there?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 15, 2026, 1:27 PM
BSPP and NPT are not interchangeable. The thread profiles are different enough that mixing them creates leak points, even if they seem to thread together at first. This fitting has a 1-inch BSPP female connection on one end, so the port or adapter it connects to needs to be BSPP as well. If your system runs NPT, you'd need a separate adapter fitting to bridge the two standards.
