Question by: Brenda W on Apr 29, 2025, 6:51 AM
got a -16 hose, is this the right crimp fitting for it or am i lookin at the wrong one
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 30, 2025, 7:55 AM
For hose fit, the key callout is the hose dash size. This 4S Series crimp fitting is specified for a -16 hose dash size, so it matches a -16 hose in that system.
Question by: Rod F on Oct 6, 2025, 6:53 PM
fitting says BSPP male parallel rigid, does that mean it won't work with tapered BSP ports, or is there some wiggle room there?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 8, 2025, 9:40 AM
Parallel and tapered BSP are not interchangeable in most real-world applications. A parallel thread relies on a sealing face or an o-ring to seal, while a tapered thread seals on the threads themselves. Forcing a parallel fitting into a tapered port can get you a connection that looks tight but won't hold pressure reliably. This fitting is built for parallel BSP ports, so matching it to the right port type matters before you put it into service.
