Question by: Lyle S on Jun 21, 2025, 11:21 AM
fitting says it's got Dura-Kote plating on it, what does that actually do for me out in the field?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 23, 2025, 8:08 AM
Corrosion is the main enemy of hose fittings in most working environments, and the Dura-Kote plating on this one puts up a solid fight against it. Carbon steel fittings without a quality coating can rust out faster than you'd expect, especially when they're exposed to moisture, road spray, or harsh fluids. That plating layer keeps surface corrosion from taking hold, which translates directly into longer service life for the whole hose assembly. Less downtime swapping out corroded fittings is the practical payoff.
