This fitting assembly, is it somethin' I can use with any ol' hose, or does it need a special type?

Designed for demanding high-pressure hydraulic circuits, this fitting is specifically made for 4-wire spiral hoses. It’s part of the Aeroquip 4S Series, so it's best to stick with hoses from that line to make sure you get a good, leak-free connection.
