got a -6 hose end here, is this the right fitting for it or am i mixing things up
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 3, 2025, 6:29 PM
For matching up sizes, the key callout is the hose dash size. This fitting is a -6, and it has a 0.375 inch male NPTF end on one side, with the other end intended for line, hose, or tube connections.
Question by: Randy W on Aug 6, 2025, 6:39 AM
What kind of corrosion protection does this fitting have? Running equipment outdoors and need something that ain't gonna rust out on me after a season or two.
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 7, 2025, 4:24 PM
Dura-Kote plating is what handles the corrosion resistance on this one. It's a protective coating Aeroquip applies specifically to extend service life in demanding conditions, and it's part of why this fitting line carries a reputation for holding up longer than bare steel alternatives. For outdoor or moisture-prone environments, that plating gives you meaningful added durability over an uncoated carbon steel fitting.
