both sides on this union are M18 x 1.5 thread, right? just want to make sure before I order a couple

Correct on both counts. Each end carries an M18 x 1.5 male thread, and both sides are L12 size DIN tube connections. The threading is identical side to side, so there's no guessing which end goes where during installation.
