trying to replace a union on a DIN tube line. is this one male on both ends and M45 x 2.0?

Correct on both counts. Each side runs M45 x 2.0 and is sized at L35, so the threading and sizing are identical from one end to the other. Both sides are also male, so you'll need female DIN tube fittings on each end to complete the connection.
