Designed for general pneumatic, construction, and industrial plant fluid transfer applications, the Danfoss / Eaton 1/2Fcoupx3/8Mnpt is a Hansen 500 Series quick disconnect coupling socket built for reliable, tool-free connection and disconnection under demanding conditions. The female half features a push-to-connect end and a 3/8" NPTF male port, with a ball lock internal connection mechanism and sleeve lock safety locking to prevent accidental disconnection during use.
Constructed from brass with Buna-N seals, this one-way valve coupling is rated for a minimum working temperature of -40°F and exceeds ISO 16028 operating pressures. The Buna-N seal material supports compatibility with a broad range of fluid media, consult the Eaton fluid compatibility documentation for specific guidance. At 1.19" wide and approximately 1 lb, it is a compact, durable component suited to fluid transfer lines in industrial environments.

Will this quick disconnect work for general shop air?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 28, 2025, 8:56 PM
It's designed for general pneumatics applications, so it should work fine for shop air. Just be sure to check the fluid compatibility documentation to make sure the Buna-N seals are compatible with any additives in your air line.

got a 3/8 nptf port on my line, will this socket screw right in and still let me do the push-to-connect quick hook up?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 28, 2025, 3:55 PM
The port end on this socket is a 3/8 inch NPTF male thread, and the coupling end is a push-to-connect female half. It uses a ball lock internal connection and a sleeve lock to help keep it from getting bumped loose during use.

what's the lowest temp this coupling can handle? got equipment running outdoors through some pretty rough winters and need to know if it'll hold up
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 11, 2025, 6:00 AM
Rated down to -40°F, so cold weather operation isn't going to be a problem for it. Brass construction and Buna-N seals both hold up well at that lower limit, making it a solid pick for outdoor fluid transfer lines where winter temps get serious.
