The Danfoss / Eaton Hansen 5100 Series Quick Disconnect Couplings Plug is designed for hydraulic and fluid transfer applications, including on-highway hydraulic wet lines and bulk liquid transfer. Its tubular valve construction minimizes fluid loss during disconnection, ensuring worker safety and reducing environmental hazards.
This coupling features low air inclusion during connection, maintaining optimal system performance. Available in either wing or hex nut configurations, it offers versatility in mounting options, including steel flanges for accessible bulkhead mounting. The standard seal material is Buna-N, providing durability and reliability in varied conditions.
The product is equipped with a connect-under-pressure capability, allowing connection of halves even under pressures up to 500 psi. The use of brass for the body and steel for valve components, hex, and wing nuts ensures robust construction suitable for demanding environments.

trying to swap out a plug on our wet line, is this the male half with the 1-1/4-11-1/2 female pipe thread?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 28, 2026, 6:24 AM
It is the male half (plug) in the 5100 Series with a -20 coupling size, and the pipe end is 1-1/4-11-1/2 female NPTF.

Will this connect under pressure okay? I got about 400 psi I need to hook up against.
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 13, 2025, 3:54 PM
You sure can connect this even with up to 500 psi of pressure. It's made to handle that without any trouble.

running dump trucks on wet lines and tired of losing fluid every time we unhook, how bad is the drip on this thing when you disconnect?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 21, 2026, 2:22 PM
Fluid loss on disconnect is rated at 0.70 cubic centimeters, which is about as close to nothing as you're going to get in a working hydraulic line. The tubular valve construction is what keeps that number that low. For dump and refuse applications where you're connecting and disconnecting regularly, that kind of spill reduction adds up fast and keeps the ground under your rig a lot cleaner over time.
Question by: Tammy P on Jul 29, 2025, 2:37 PM
got a wet line setup on a dump truck, is this the kind of quick disconnect that won’t make a mess when you unhook it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 31, 2025, 12:12 PM
For on highway hydraulic wet lines and dump or refuse vehicles, the 5100 Series low spill plug uses a tubular valve design that keeps fluid loss very low during disconnect. It is also built to limit air inclusion during hookup, which helps keep the system from getting spongy.
