The Eaton Fluid Coupling 1 FP part of the Danfoss Power Solutions (II LLC Aeroquip) 5100 Series is designed for hydraulics and fluid transfer applications. Its tubular valve construction minimizes fluid loss during disconnection reducing environmental and safety risks. The coupling features low air inclusion to maintain system performance and is capable of connecting against pressure up to 500 psi.
Buna-N is used for the standard seal material ensuring reliable sealing under various conditions. The coupling is available with wing or hex nut configurations for flexible installation approaches and includes a steel flange for accessible bulkhead mounting. Made from brass with steel valving components this quick disconnect coupling is robust and durable.
Fluid loss is limited to 0.35 cubic centimeters and maximum air inclusion is 0.50 cubic centimeters. It features 1-11-1/2 NPTF threading for secure connections. The product is suitable for on-highway hydraulic wet lines dump and refuse vehicles and bulk liquid transfer applications and it can operate in temperatures as low as -40deg;C.

Will this quick disconnect work with hydraulic fluid, or is it just for water?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 6, 2026, 7:15 PM
Designed for hydraulics and fluid transfer applications, this Eaton Aeroquip quick disconnect uses Buna-N seals which are compatible with many hydraulic fluids. You can also review the fluid compatibility document linked on the product page for more details.
Question by: Rod S on Oct 3, 2025, 4:37 PM
does this thing actually connect when there's already pressure in the line, or do you have to bleed it down first?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 5, 2025, 12:24 PM
Connecting under live pressure is one of the main things this coupling is built for. It can handle up to 500 psi when mating the halves, so in most working hydraulic setups on dump trucks or wet line systems, you won't need to depressurize before plugging in. That saves real time when you're out in the field and can't easily bleed the system down.
