Designed for demanding industrial applications, the Danfoss / Eaton 3000/4000/5000/6000 Series Disconnect Couplings provide reliable performance and quick connectivity. Made from durable brass, these female half couplings feature a sleeve lock safety mechanism and Buna-N seals, ensuring secure fluid transfer in environments requiring high durability. With compatibility across multiple standards such as US Industrial Interchange and ISO 6150 Series B, these couplings are ideal for use in industrial breathing air systems, general pneumatics, maintenance, and fluid transfer use.
The couplings offer a 0.5-inch NPTF connection on both ends, facilitating easy integration without the need for special tools. Notably, they exceed ISO 16028 operating pressures and support a high flow rate of 538.91 gallons per minute, ensuring efficient performance under various conditions. Part of the renowned Eaton Aeroquip brand, these couplings are engineered to meet stringent industrial standards, making them a dependable choice for critical applications.

got a half inch NPTF line already, is this socket gonna thread right on or am i missing something
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 12, 2026, 7:34 PM
With 1/2 in NPTF threads on the port, it’s set up to screw onto a 1/2 in NPTF male connection. The socket side is a 1/2 port size, and it uses a sleeve lock for the safety locking mechanism.

What kind of stuff is this fitting good for, like what all can I use it on around the shop?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 16, 2025, 12:18 PM
Primarily designed for industrial breathing air and general pneumatics, this coupling also handles maintenance and repair tasks, along with fluid transfer applications.
Question by: Travis J on Aug 31, 2025, 10:26 AM
sleeve lock on this one, does that mean it won't accidentally pop loose if something bumps the line?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 2, 2025, 6:17 AM
Sleeve locks are built to prevent exactly that. The coupling won't release unless you manually actuate the sleeve, so incidental contact or line pressure shifts won't cause an unintended disconnect. For general pneumatics and maintenance applications like this one, that kind of passive retention matters a lot when lines are running in busy shop environments.

got a female air coupler with 1/2 nptf on it now. is this 5300SL the same kind of hookup or am i barkin up the wrong tree
Answer by: Customer Support on Dec 10, 2025, 6:20 AM
The 5300SL is a female half quick disconnect with 1/2 inch NPTF threads, so it matches a 1/2 NPTF connection on your air line or port.
