Designed for mobile air conditioning and refrigerant applications, this Danfoss Power Solutions (Aeroquip) Hansen 500 Series Quick Disconnect Coupling Plug connects and disconnects without the need for special tools. The thread-to-connect internal mechanism uses UNEF threaded ends, 0.875 in. on the female end and 1 in. on the male end, ensuring a secure, reliable interface. Constructed from carbon steel with a neoprene seal, it is built to handle the demands of mobile HVAC refrigerant service.
As part of the Danfoss / Eaton Bulk Hose & Cpls product line, this 2-way valve coupling exceeds ISO 16028 operating pressure standards. The neoprene seal material is compatible with common refrigerants used in mobile conditioning systems, and the carbon steel body provides durable mechanical strength across typical service conditions.

flow rate on this coupling is listed at 14 gpm, is that enough for most mobile AC setups or is that gonna be a bottleneck?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 30, 2025, 7:39 AM
For mobile air conditioning applications, 14 gallons per minute is generally well within the range you'd need. Most mobile AC refrigerant circuits don't demand anywhere near that kind of throughput, so you're unlikely to run into restriction issues under normal operating conditions. The coupling is built around that application specifically, so the flow capacity lines up with what the system was meant to handle.
