What's the max pressure this nipple can handle?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 1, 2025, 8:05 PM
This hex nipple is designed to hold up to 6,000 psi in dynamic pressure situations.
Question by: Brett M on Apr 4, 2026, 6:34 PM
got a setup that needs to step from 3/8 NPTF down to 1/4 NPTF. is this the right hex nipple for that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 6, 2026, 8:46 AM
For that size change, it matches up as a 3/8-18 Male NPTF on one end (B1) and a 1/4-18 Male NPTF on the other end (B2), both to SAE J476.
Question by: Carl M on Jun 14, 2025, 5:12 PM
got a 3/8 male port on one side and a 1/4 male port on the other, will this reducer nipple bridge those two sizes?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 15, 2025, 8:28 PM
That's what this fitting does. One end is 3/8-18 male NPTF and the other is 1/4-18 male NPTF, so it connects two female ports of those different sizes in a straight-line configuration. Both threads meet SAE J476 spec, so you get a solid, leak-resistant fit on both ends when torqued down properly.
