Constructed from straight steel and conforming to SAE J476, this reducer hex nipple connects a 2-inch 11-1/2 TPI Male NPTF thread on one end to a 1-1/2-inch 11-1/2 TPI Male NPTF thread on the other, making it well-suited for hydraulic and industrial fluid line assemblies where a threaded size reduction is required between two male connections. Will this fitting work alright for connecting a couple of hydraulic lines where I need to go from a 2-inch to a 1-1/2 inch?
