Both my male and female connections are 3/8-18 NPTF, is that what this fitting uses on both ends?

Correct on both counts. The male and female threads are both 3/8-18 NPTF, and both ends conform to SAE J476. So if you've already got 3/8-18 NPTF on each side of the connection, this fitting lines right up with what you need.
