pressure rating on this expander, is 3,000 PSI enough for most heavy equipment hydraulic lines?

For the majority of standard industrial and heavy equipment hydraulic circuits, 3,000 PSI covers you just fine. That's the maximum dynamic pressure rated on this fitting, and most common working pressures in mobile and industrial hydraulic systems fall well within that range. Just make sure your system's peak dynamic pressure doesn't exceed that figure and you're in good shape.
