Question by: Roger E on Jan 10, 2026, 4:00 PM
What size threads are we dealing with on this reducer bushing, male and female both?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 12, 2026, 6:27 AM
Male side is 1/2-14 NPTF and the female port is 1/8-27 NPTF. Both are built to SAE J476 spec, so they'll mate up properly with fittings that follow that standard. It's meant to step down from the larger male thread to the smaller female connection, which is a pretty common need when you're hydraulic connections up equipment with mismatched port sizes.

i’ve got a 1/2 NPTF port but need to step it down for a 1/8 NPTF line. is that what this bushing does?

Built for reducing a 1/2-14 male NPTF connection down to a 1/8-27 female NPTF connection, it lets you adapt between those two NPTF thread sizes while keeping the same thread type and SAE J476 spec.
