Got a line running 3/4 NPTF male and need to drop it down to a 1/4 female NPTF port, this bushing do the trick?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 15, 2026, 6:02 AM
That's exactly what it's built for. The 5406-12-04 takes a 3/4-14 male NPTF thread on one end and steps it down to a 1/4-18 female NPTF on the other. Both threads meet SAE J476 spec, so you're getting a proper dry-seal fit on both sides, not just a standard pipe thread connection.

got a 3/4-14 male nptf port and need to step it down to 1/4-18 female nptf. is that what this bushing does?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 18, 2025, 6:43 AM
It reduces a 3/4-14 Male NPTF connection down to a 1/4-18 Female NPTF connection, so you can adapt a larger NPTF male thread into a smaller NPTF female thread size.
