Question by: Rusty S on Jan 23, 2026, 8:01 PM
trying to step a 1 inch port down to 1/2, is this the bushing that does that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jan 25, 2026, 6:53 AM
For reducing a 1 inch female NPTF port down to a 1/2 inch female NPTF opening, this bushing matches that setup. It has a 1-11-1/2 male NPTF thread on the outside and a 1/2-14 female NPTF thread on the inside, both to SAE J476.

Got a line runnin at 3000 psi and need to step down from a 1-inch port to a half-inch fitting. This bushing gonna hold up to that?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 10, 2025, 6:32 AM
At 3,000 psi maximum dynamic pressure, that is exactly what this bushing is rated for, so you are right at the top of its range. The male end is a 1-11/2 NPTF thread and the female end is 1/2-14 NPTF, which matches your step-down from a 1-inch port to a half-inch connection. Straight steel construction handles that kind of pressure without issue under normal operating conditions.
Question by: Gene H on Sep 17, 2025, 6:04 AM

Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 18, 2025, 11:37 AM
This reducer bushing is engineered to handle up to 3,000 psi of maximum dynamic pressure, making it suitable for high-pressure applications.
