Question by: Jerry M on Nov 22, 2025, 2:49 PM
What size threads does this bushing actually connect? I got a 2-inch male pipe connection on my manifold and need to step it down to a 1-inch female port.
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 23, 2025, 3:37 PM
That lines up exactly with what this bushing is built for. The male end is a 2-11-1/2 NPTF thread and the female end is a 1-11-1/2 NPTF thread, so you're stepping down from a 2-inch male connection into a 1-inch female port. Both ends meet SAE J476 spec, which covers dry-seal pipe threads and helps prevent leakage without relying solely on sealant tape.

trying to step down from a 2 inch NPTF port to 1 inch, is that what this bushing is for?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 7, 2025, 6:24 AM
For stepping down NPTF threads, this reducer bushing goes from a 2-11-1/2 male NPTF on the outside to a 1-11-1/2 female NPTF on the inside, and both ends are built to SAE J476.
