45° Male Elbow

Description & Features

Constructed from brass with Dura-Kote plating for corrosion resistance, this NPTF Male/SAE Male 45° Male Elbow adapter from Eaton Aeroquip is built for demanding fluid and gas handling applications. The 1/8" NPTF male end pairs with a -5 SAE 45° flare male end, making it well-suited for routing lines where a directional change is required without sacrificing connection integrity.

Rated for use across a wide range of systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, refrigeration, and power steering, this adapter meets Ms, Asa, SAE 010302, and Asme certifications and is rated to perform down to -65°F. Eaton Aeroquip's design delivers operating pressures above standard SAE requirements, and the broad range of available styles in this product family supports flexible circuit layout in compact or constrained installations.

Question by: Tommy M on Apr 17, 2025, 2:27 PM
what kind of fittings does this connect between, is it NPT on one end and SAE flare on the other?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 19, 2025, 6:49 AM
one end is 1/8 inch NPTF male and the other is a -5 SAE 45 degree flare male. So you got two different thread types meeting at one fitting, which makes it real handy when you're tying together lines that weren't originally spec'd to match up.

Will this elbow work for hooking up a power steering unit?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 10, 2025, 7:59 AM
This 45-degree elbow adapter is suitable for power steering systems, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Just be sure the 1/8" MNPT and -5 MS sizes fit your setup.
