Both ports on this thing are female NPTF, right? Just want to make sure I ain't gotta track down adapters before I put it in.

Correct on both ends. Each port is a female NPTF thread, 1-11/2 taper, and both conform to SAE J476. So if you're running male NPTF fittings on your lines, you're good to go without any extra adapters in between.

got a tight spot on a manifold, how much room does this 90 elbow take up?

For tight layouts, the centerline length and the overall length are both listed at 1.620 mm, and the part’s cubic inch space is 9.615, so it’s meant to be a compact 90 degree turn.
