Question by: Wayne A on Jul 25, 2025, 5:39 PM
i’ve got a 3/4 pipe thread port, is this plug the one with 3/4-14 female NPT on it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 26, 2025, 6:19 PM
This male half uses a 3/4-14 female NPT thread on the pipe end, and it is a -12 coupling size. It is the male plug style with a push to connect interface on the coupling side.
Question by: Rick F on Jun 3, 2025, 3:54 PM
fitting this up to a 3/4 pipe thread port on a dump trailer hitch block, the female NPT end goes into the port, right? just want to make sure i got the connection direction straight before i start wrenching
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 5, 2025, 12:09 PM
Correct setup. The 3/4-14 NPT end threads into your port, and the male push-to-connect half is what mates with the female coupler body on the other side of the line. The NPT connection is female on this fitting, so it receives a male pipe thread coming out of your block or valve. Standard right-hand thread, wrench tight with appropriate thread sealant applied by the installer.
Question by: Phil A on Jul 14, 2025, 10:55 AM
Will this fitting hold up for hooking up to a hydraulic log splitter?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 15, 2025, 7:52 PM
Designed for hydraulic fluid transfer applications, this coupling is suitable for demanding uses. It's made with zinc-plated steel and has a streamlined valving to minimize pressure drop, making it appropriate for hydraulic log splitters as long as they operate within the specified temperature and pressure ranges.
Question by: Brett P on Feb 24, 2026, 5:42 PM
got a dump truck that needs a new quick disconnect on the hydraulic line, this a male half or female, and what thread size am I working with on the pipe end?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 26, 2026, 6:40 AM
Male half on the coupling side, and the pipe end runs a 3/4-14 female NPT thread. So you'd be threading a male NPT fitting into it. The coupling size is -12, which lines up with a 3/4-inch hydraulic line. Dump vehicles are actually one of the listed applications for this fitting, so it should suit that kind of setup well.
Question by: Floyd P on May 4, 2025, 7:08 AM
got a 3/4-14 female pipe port on my hose, is this the right half to screw in and still quick-connect on the other end?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 5, 2025, 1:31 PM
It has a 3/4-14 female NPT threaded end on one side and a male push-to-connect quick disconnect end on the other. It is the male half (plug) in the 5600 Series Industrial Interchange style, size -12.
