FD56 SS Female1IN

Description & Features

Constructed entirely from stainless steel, the FD56 SS Female1IN is a 1-inch female half quick disconnect coupling designed for demanding hydraulic fluid transfer applications. Its ball lock internal mechanism and push-to-connect end type allow fast, tool-free connection and disconnection, reducing downtime in agricultural, construction, and in-plant manufacturing environments, as well as on dump trucks, snow plows, and maintenance vehicles.

Rated for flows up to 50 gallons per minute and built to exceed ISO 16028 operating pressures, this coupling meets ISO 7241-1 Series A certification. The 1-inch NPT port accepts a wide range of hydraulic lines, while Buna-N seals provide reliable fluid compatibility across a working temperature range starting at -40°F. The two-way valve configuration supports standard bidirectional flow in hydraulic circuits.

Question by: Diane P on Feb 16, 2026, 1:51 PM
If I'm swapping out an old coupling on my backhoe, and the lines are 1-inch NPT, will this one screw right in?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 18, 2026, 8:03 AM
Because this is a 1-inch female NPT coupling, it should thread directly onto your existing 1-inch NPT hydraulic lines.
