Manufactured by Hercules Sealing Products, this standard O-ring carries a nominal outside diameter of 7/8 inch and a nominal width of 1/16 inch. Actual dimensions measure 0.88 inch OD, 0.74 inch ID, and 0.07 inch width, making it well-suited for hydraulic sealing applications where consistent dimensional accuracy is essential.

Question by: Jimmy K on Nov 19, 2025, 6:00 PM
what temp range does this o-ring hold up to? got some equipment that sees pretty cold winters and hot summer days both
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 21, 2025, 8:06 AM
Buna-N at 70 durometer covers a solid range for that kind of situation. This particular o-ring is rated from -40°F on the cold end up to 240°F on the high side, so seasonal swings in most working environments fall well within what it can handle.

trying to match up an old seal, is this the o-ring with a 3/4 inch ID and 7/8 inch OD?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 7, 2025, 6:29 AM
It’s a nominal 3/4 inch I.D. by 7/8 inch O.D. with a 1/16 inch nominal width. The actual measurements listed are about 0.74 inch I.D., 0.88 inch O.D., and 0.07 inch width.
Question by: Kent C on Aug 20, 2025, 5:38 PM
what's the actual OD on this one? nominal says 7/8 but I need the exact number before I order
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 22, 2025, 2:45 PM
Measured out, the actual outside diameter runs 0.88 inch. The nominal 7/8 is just the standard call-out size, so if you're matching to a groove or bore, 0.88 is the number to work with. The actual inside diameter is 0.74 inch and the width comes in at 0.07 inch, which corresponds to the 1/16 nominal width.
