How critical is it to match the GPM rating when swapping out this cartridge kit in my Vickers pump? I'm seeing some other kits that are close.

It's pretty important. This C-kit is designed specifically for Vickers V Series vane pumps needing that precise 4 GPM flow capacity. Going too far outside that range could mess with your pump's performance.
