Is this check valve directional, or can fluid flow either way?

This valve is designed to allow flow in only one direction, preventing backflow.

got a 3/8 FNPT port I need a check valve for, this the right fit?

For a 3/8 female NPT connection, this is the correct valve. The 61-102 from Dixon is threaded FNPT at 3/8, so it'll thread right into a standard 3/8 male NPT fitting or port without adapters.
