Rated for flow up to 300 litres per minute, this Eaton Vickers check valve is built for demanding industrial hydraulic circuits where pressure stability and leak-free performance are critical. The VICKERS PCGV 8A 1 10 is a 10-design unit in the PCGV-8 series, featuring Buna-N seals suited to a broad range of hydraulic fluids and operating conditions.
Suitable for high-cycle and high-load environments, this valve is used across die casting and foundry equipment, machine tools, marine and offshore systems, presses, primary metal processing, test and simulation rigs, and turbine control applications including wind, steam, and water turbines. Minimal maintenance requirements and consistent sealing performance make it a practical choice for both new builds and replacement installations.

Question by: Ross M on Mar 3, 2026, 11:53 AM
flow rate on this check valve -- is 300 liters per minute enough for press applications or is that gonna be cutting it close?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 4, 2026, 4:03 PM
For press applications, 300 litres per minute puts the PCGV-8A squarely in the capable range. Press systems are listed as a supported application for this valve, so it's not a stretch to run it in that environment. Whether 300 LPM covers your specific circuit depends on your system's peak demand, but the valve itself isn't the limiting factor for most press setups.
Question by: Marvin E on Sep 12, 2025, 8:29 AM
Will this check valve hold up in a die casting application, or is it meant for lighter duty?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 14, 2025, 6:50 AM
Application-wise, this Vickers PCGV-8 valve is solid for die casting and foundry work, but it's also commonly used in machine tools, marine/offshore setups, presses, primary metal processing, paper mills, and even test equipment.
