Got a machine running JIS fittings and need to tie in some ORFS lines, this straight adapter handle that kind of crossover?

Yeah, that's exactly what this fitting is built for. One end is male ORFS with a 13/16-16 UN thread, and the other is female JIS at G 1/2-14. Both sides are 1/2" size, so you're connecting two half-inch lines from different standards without needing extra adapters or fabricated solutions. Steel construction, straight configuration, 32.7mm overall length. Pretty clean swap if the rest of your hydraulic connections lines up.

trying to match up a hose end, is this the straight adapter that goes from 1/2 ORFS male over to a 1/2 JIS female?

You’ve got it. It’s a straight steel adapter with a 1/2 inch male ORFS on one side (13/16 - 16 UN callout) and a 1/2 inch female JIS on the other (G 1/2 - 14 callout).

This steel Adaptall fitting should perform well in many outdoor environments, but keep in mind that steel is susceptible to rust over time, especially in humid or coastal areas.
