Will this handle hydraulic fluid with a lil grit in it, or do I need to be extra careful about filtration?

Designed for high performance, this Vickers pressure control valve does use Buna-N seals. While they offer good resistance to petroleum-based fluids, extra filtration is always a good idea to extend the life of any hydraulic system, especially if you suspect contamination.
