A straight steel hydraulic adapter connecting a 3/4-16 Female SAE O-Ring Boss port to a 3/4-14 Male Nptf thread, the 08FORB-12MP Straight is built for secure, leak-resistant connections in hydraulic systems where these two thread standards meet. The female end conforms to SAE J514, while the male Nptf thread is specified to SAE J476, making it suitable for use in circuits that transition between O-ring face seal-style ports and tapered pipe thread fittings.

Will this fitting work with a regular pipe thread, or does it have to be NPTF?

This adapter has a male NPTF thread, which is a tapered pipe thread designed to create a tighter seal than standard NPT threads.
