both ends on this fitting are ORB, but one's male and one's female, that right? trying to make sure i'm not mixing it up with something else before i order

Correct on both counts. One end is a 1-1/16-12 Male SAE O-Ring Boss and the other is a 3/4-16 Female SAE O-Ring Boss.
