trying to swap out an old 6500-03-03, is 6500-03-03-FG the same thing or did they change it

For this part, 6500-03-03 shows up as an older SKU while 6500-03-03-FG is the supplier part number for the current forged version in the 6500-FG series. The connection style stays the same: #3 MJIC to #3 FJIC swivel, 90 degree elbow, with 3/8-24 threads on both ends to SAE J514.

Correct on both counts. The male JIC end and the female swivel end are both 3/8-24, and both conform to SAE J514. The swivel on the female side is a nice touch when you're trying to get a line positioned without fighting the fitting during tightening.
