got a 1/2 NPTF port on a manifold block and need to tie into a 1-1/16-12 JIC line, this the right adapter for that?

That's what this fitting handles. One end is a 1/2-14 female NPTF thread, which mates with a standard 1/2 NPTF male port, and the other end is a 1-1/16-12 female JIC swivel with a 37-degree flare seat. The swivel feature on the JIC side makes it a lot easier to get the line positioned without fighting the fitting. Steel construction, so it holds up in working hydraulic environments without issue.
