both ends on this fitting are male threads, right? trying to figure out if it'll work going into a female ORB port on my manifold and a female JIC swivel on the hose end
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 27, 2025, 6:10 AM
You've got it right. One end is a Male JIC SAE 37-degree flare (7/8-14 thread per SAE J514), and the other is a Male SAE Adjustable O-Ring Boss, also 7/8-14. So yeah, you'd need a female JIC connection on one side and a female ORB port on the other for this to fit up properly. The O-ring on the ORB end handles the sealing there, and the 37-degree flare geometry takes care of the JIC side.
