Designed for hydraulic and fluid power assemblies where routing constraints demand a directional change, the 08MJ-08MAORB 90 Deg Elbow X-Long from Brennan Industries provides a 90-degree transition between a male JIC 37° flare connection and a male O-ring boss (ORB) port. The extra-long configuration offers additional clearance for tight installation environments where standard-length elbows may not fit.
Both connection ends are sized at -8 (1/2 in.), making this a straight-size fitting suitable for use in hydraulic circuits where consistent line sizing is maintained throughout. The male ORB end seats with an O-ring seal for leak-resistant port connections, while the male JIC end provides a reliable metal-to-metal flare seal at the mating fitting.

Question by: Harvey A on Sep 18, 2025, 8:32 PM
got a tight spot on a skid, is this the elbow that gives you a little more reach than the regular 90
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 20, 2025, 4:42 PM
For tight installs where a standard 90 degree elbow crowds the tube or hose, the extra-long body on this fitting gives you added clearance while still making a 90 degree turn between the connections.
Question by: Daryl G on Apr 11, 2025, 10:04 AM
What size is this elbow fitting? I'm needing something to connect up some half-inch lines.
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 13, 2025, 7:10 AM
It's sized as a -8, which means it's made for 1/2 inch lines. So, it should fit your half-inch lines if they're using the standard JIC and ORB connections.
Question by: Dwight S on Oct 21, 2025, 7:48 AM
Got a spot on a manifold that's real cramped for space and a standard 90 ain't gonna clear the adjacent lines. Would the extra-long version of this fitting give me enough room to work with?
Answer by: Customer Support on Oct 23, 2025, 6:46 AM
Extra clearance is exactly what the X-Long configuration is built for. When a standard-length 90-degree elbow can't clear surrounding lines, fittings, or mounting hardware, the extended body puts more distance between the port face and the tube run, which gives you room to route without interference. If your manifold is tight and your standard elbow keeps clashing with nearby components, this one is worth trying in that application.
