got a 7/8-14 ORB port on a manifold and need to swing a JIC hose line off it at 90 degrees, this the right fitting for that?

For a male SAE adjustable O-ring boss to female JIC swivel 37-degree flare connection at a right angle, yes, that's exactly what this fitting does. The male end threads into your ORB port and the female JIC swivel end accepts your hose or tube assembly. Both threads are 7/8-14 and built to SAE J514, so the sizing lines up with standard hydraulic components in that class.
