Product Questions & Answers (5)

Question by: Janice G on Aug 10, 2025, 5:50 PM
does the brass construction on this hold up alright in corrosive environments, or is it gonna need extra protection?
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 12, 2025, 6:42 AM
Brass naturally handles moisture and mild corrosion better than a lot of other metals, and this adapter also carries a Dura-Kote plating on top of that. That combination gives it solid resistance for hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation setups where exposure to harsh conditions is a real concern.
Question by: Pete W on Jun 27, 2025, 9:25 AM
What kind of pressures can this handle?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jun 29, 2025, 6:49 AM
Higher operating pressures above SAE standards are within this adapter's capabilities.
Question by: Eddie T on Sep 23, 2025, 9:32 PM
trying to hook up a 1/8 NPTF port to a line, is that what this 681X5 adapter is for?
Answer by: Customer Support on Sep 24, 2025, 9:42 PM
For instrumentation, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, this is a straight brass adapter with a 1/8 male NPTF thread on one end and a female connection sized for 0.3333 on the line, hose, or tube side.
Question by: Glen P on Feb 11, 2026, 7:30 AM
trying to replace a little adapter on an instrument air line, is this one nptf on one end and a female tube or hose connection on the other?
Answer by: Customer Support on Feb 13, 2026, 6:14 AM
For instrumentation, hydraulic, and pneumatic hookups, it is set up as a straight adapter with a 1/8 NPTF male on one end and a female connection meant for line, hose, or tube on the other end.
Question by: Frank F on Apr 11, 2025, 12:38 PM
Will this fitting hold up to regular use in a hydraulic system on farm equipment?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 12, 2025, 4:51 PM
Dura-Kote plating provides superior corrosion resistance. Also, these adapters are designed to handle higher operating pressures than standard SAE fittings.
