fitting says 10-8, does that mean it connects a 10 size tube to an 8 size tube or is that something else?
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 25, 2025, 9:58 PM
That 10-8 designation means the fitting bridges two different tubing sizes, a 10 on one end and an 8 on the other. Push-to-connect fittings with that kind of sizing are used when you're stepping down between line sizes in a branch or inline run. So if you've got a larger feed line and need to drop to a smaller branch, this handles that transition without additional adapters.

Built as a brass push-to-connect fitting, it’s meant for compressed air and fluid transfer lines where DOT 2501 compliance is required, including industrial and mobile equipment setups.
