Product Questions & Answers (1)
Question by: Glen W on May 3, 2025, 7:04 AM
fitting's got Dura-Kote plating on it -- does that hold up when it's sitting in wet or muddy conditions for long stretches?
Answer by: Customer Support on May 4, 2025, 2:51 PM
Dura-Kote plating is specifically there to fight corrosion, so exposure to moisture and grime is exactly the kind of environment it's built for. Carbon steel on its own would be a concern in those conditions, but the plating puts a protective barrier between the metal and whatever it's sitting in. Long-term durability in harsh environments is one of the stated design goals for this fitting, so it's not just a cosmetic coating.
