70-100 Series Bronze Ball Valve, 3 NPT Ports

Description & Features

Rated for 600 psig WOG (cold non-shock) and 150 psig saturated steam, this full-featured bronze ball valve is built for dependable shut-off in demanding industrial fluid control applications. The 70-100 Series Bronze Ball Valve features a B584-C84400 bronze body, a chromium-plated B16 ball, and RPTFE seats and stem packing for reliable sealing performance across a wide service range. Vacuum service to 29 in./Hg is supported.

The blow-out proof stem design and adjustable packing gland allow for field maintenance without full valve replacement. A zinc-plated steel lever with vinyl cover provides secure manual actuation. Port configuration is 3 NPT with a 2.5-inch orifice diameter and a Cv factor of 370. The PTFE body seal and B584-C84400 retainer are standard on this size. Seal kit 70-009-01 is available separately for service needs.

what's the pressure rating on this ball valve, and is it any good for steam lines?

At cold, non-shock conditions it's rated for 600 psig WOG, which covers a wide range of general hydraulic and fluid service applications. For saturated steam specifically, the rating drops to 150 psig. Worth knowing that pressure capacity does decrease further at elevated temperatures, so if your steam system runs hot, that's something to factor in before you commit to this one.
