Question by: Lance M on Mar 28, 2025, 3:07 PM
does this o-ring hold up alright in hydraulic oil, or is buna-n gonna break down on me?
Answer by: Customer Support on Mar 29, 2025, 6:17 PM
Buna-N is one of the better choices for petroleum-based hydraulic fluids. It resists oil and fuel well, and at 70 durometer it strikes a solid balance between flexibility and resistance to compression set. The temperature range runs from -40°F up to 240°F, so it covers most standard hydraulic system conditions without issue.
Question by: Rusty M on Jul 21, 2025, 9:03 PM
What's the temp range on these o-rings? I need something that can handle some heat.
Answer by: Customer Support on Jul 23, 2025, 4:20 PM
These Buna-N o-rings are rated for use between -40°F and 240°F.
Question by: Brent P on Apr 27, 2025, 3:48 PM
trying to match up an old -214 o-ring, is this one the right dash size and material?
Answer by: Customer Support on Apr 29, 2025, 6:00 AM
For a -214 replacement, this one matches dash size -214 and it is 70 durometer Buna-N (NBR). Nominal size is 1 inch ID, 1-1/4 inch OD, with a 1/8 inch nominal width.

Correct, each order comes with 20 o-rings. That should cover your rebuild with a few left over to keep on hand for next time.
Question by: Rhonda R on Aug 22, 2025, 2:00 PM
What's the temperature range on these o-rings? Gotta make sure they can handle the heat.
Answer by: Customer Support on Aug 24, 2025, 6:28 AM
These Buna-N o-rings are rated for temperatures between -40°F and 240°F. Keep in mind that exceeding this range could affect their sealing performance and lifespan.
Question by: Floyd S on Nov 11, 2025, 7:38 PM
trying to replace an old -214 o-ring, is this the right size or am i gonna be fighting it?
Answer by: Customer Support on Nov 13, 2025, 6:54 AM
The key match is the dash size. This one is a -214 and the nominal dimensions are 1 inch ID, 1-1/4 inch OD, and 1/8 inch width, with actual measurements around 0.984 inch ID, 1.262 inch OD, and 0.139 inch width.
